Alena takes Barcelona closer to title, Avila produces moment of magic and Correa strike defeats Valencia – LaLiga’s champion moments | Goal.com

Barcelona have moved one step closer to their 26th La Liga Santander title after a 2-0 win over Deportivo Alaves.

Carles Aleñá opened the scoring early in the second half, collecting Sergio Roberto’s pass after a trademark Luis Suarez dummy. The 21-year-old took the ball in his stride into the penalty area before calmly placing a left-foot finish past Fernando Pacheco.

Elsewhere, Ezequiel Ávila scored a goal of the season contender against Eibar to earn Huesca just their sixth win of the season.

Enric Gallego gave the home side the lead after 54 minutes with a clever back heel finish. Three minutes later, Ávila netted their second in spectacular fashion, volleying in a lofted corner from just outside the penalty area.

Ángel Correa hit a late winner for Atletico Madrid against Valencia CF in an entertaining match at Wanda Metropolitano Stadium.

Atletico twice took the lead, through Alvaro Morata and Antoine Griezmann, but Valencia hit back through Kevin Gameiro and an emphatic Daniel Parejo penalty.

Correa curled in the winner in the 81st minute to keep their La Liga title hopes alive for at least one more week.
